WORDS & PRODUCTION EMILIE LOUIZIDES - PHOTOGRAPHY, STYLING & MAKEUP USING GLISTEN COSMETICS NICHOLAS HOLMAN - STUDIO ASSISTANT HUNTER OLSON
F Word’s latest beauty collaboration features our favourite TikTok painter and makeup artist Nicholas Holman and the rapidly growing, Insta-famous Glisten Cosmetics.
Wet Liner MILK & COLA
Nick was initially drawn to Glisten’s ‘Cherryade’ Wet Liner, a highly pigmented, water- activated and UV-active gel liner. “Something about this colour screamed at me and that was the very first product I tried.”
Wet Liner COPPER & COLA
Disco, colour, and playfulness inspired founder Natalie Chapple to launch Glisten in 2017. As a teacher, balancing household and childcare costs, she began Glisten with three-gram pots of glitters. Since then, lip glosses, highlighters, brushes, and the brand’s popular Wet Liners have been released. Glisten’s growth allowed Natalie to pursue the brand full-time. While the success and quality of the products could justify higher prices, Natalie prioritizes accessibility, selling Wet Liners for £6.50 a pot.

Glisten’s values extend to the cruelty-free space; all products are vegan and PETA-certified. Glisten also keeps their Pride Liner – an eleven-colour palette representing the LGBTQIA+ flag – in their permanent collection. In a world full of rainbow washing, Glisten sets an example for year-round pride, donating 100% of profits from the Pride Liner to LGBTQIA+ charities, generating almost £40,000 in donations.
Wet Liner MILK, COLA, COLLINS, ROSE QUARTZ
From his first favourite ‘Cherryade’ to the softer, vibrant pastels, Nick describes how this collaboration informed his makeup looks. “I would start a look thinking I knew what was about to happen. By the time I finished the look it was a pleasant surprise. The products I chose to use for each look had a big impact on the final result.”
