Founded by UAL graduate and creative director Euan Donald McDonach, the brand's new collection "Highland Heritage" reflects the beauty of Scotland through a rich palette of purple heathers, deep greens and earthy tones.
In keeping with tradition, Jumeaux d’Écosse works with authentic Scottish textiles and manufacturers, using high quality fabrics such as tweed and tartan to create sophisticated pieces that have a timeless feel. Perfect for the colder months - or, if you live in Scotland, any month of the year - the brand offers staples that feel both comfortable and smart. Inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and traditional Scottish menswear, the gender neutral collection includes pure wool kilts, Harris Tweed waistcoats and unique cashmere tailored trousers.
Let's face it, Scottish style has always had a certain 'je ne sais quoi', but there's a gap in the market when it comes to modern Scottish brands celebrating Scottish history in a luxury fashion context. By focusing on attention to detail and quality craftsmanship, this is exactly what McDonach has done. As a fellow Scot (and, coincidentally, a twin), the brand makes me feel nostalgic - it reminds me of sitting by a fire in the Scottish Highlands and makes me want to throw away my vape and fill my lungs with some fresh Scottish air. And if that isn't testament to the brand, I don't know what is.
