Converse is announcing a significant expansion into apparel with the launch of SHAPES, the first completely genderless collection of apparel essentials, as well as Utility Fleece and Court Ready, collections designed for the skate and basketball communities. This new step into a more genderless approach is significant and highly important in today's climate and Converse continues to use its influence to push the boundaries further and beyond.
SHAPES capsule collection features five pieces; the Bubble Crew, Box Tee, Short Sleeve Tee, Triangle Front Chino and Triangle PO Hoodie, which will launch in Summer 2020 followed by the Fleece in the Fall and Court Ready in early 2021.
CX TRANSFORMS CONVERSE PRODUCTS
After many years of research and experimentation, CX is an innovative toolkit of materials and processes that aim to transform the way Converse footwear is made, delivering new levels of comfort, wearability and design. This proves Converse's commitment to responsible fashion without negotiating their style, durability, and quality. All silhouettes will be introduced in an assortment of monotone colours that promote and explore comfort, starting with the All Star Disrupt CX on March 19 at Converse.com and select retailers globally.
Along with the new release of the All Star Disrupt CX, On March 12, streetwear innovator Takahiro Miyashita TheSoloist will be presenting a take on the series through Converse x TheSoloist. Miyashita has been a longtime collaborator working closely with Converse to create unique and outstanding designs. He will be presenting the first drop of the new Disrupt CX along with a black and white iteration, which debuted during Takahiro Miyashita’s SP20 show in Paris.
